District Piping Competition 2008
Congratulation to our Senior and Junior Piping Teams who took the District Piping Competition by storm this year..
West Ham Senior Team took the First Place Trophy, and Ordinary Cadet Weston came second in the Individual Competition.
The Junior Team also came first and Junior Cadet Groom-Starling came first in the Individual Competition.
Well Done to all!!!

Well done to all staff, cadets and committee for all their hard work over the last year, which has resulted in us being awarded a Burgee, below is Junior Cadet Weston (being the youngest in the unit) hoisting the Burgee.

District pulling regatta 2008
Well done to all our cadets (and staff!) who competed in the district pulling competition! The Juniors came 2nd in their race and the under 18 boys team came 4th. The staff team also came 4th in their race .... out of 4 teams!! But still a very well done!!
Here's Able Cadet Gregson recieveing the 2nd place certificate on behalf of her Junior Pulling team! Don't they all look so happy!!
The under 18s boys team did extremely well in their two heats, securing a 4th place victory! With Leading Cadet McEvoy taking the helm, encouraging the boys - Ordinary Cadet Gregson and cadets Harris, Nunn and Graham to do their very best!
The Junior girls, led by Able Cadet Gregson consisted of Leading Juniors Howell, Weston, Groom-Starling and Junior First Class Lulendo. They won their 1st heat to take them into the finals in which they came 2nd! Well done to them all!
Well done also to Junior Fenttiman who sportingly helped out our neighbours Newham Unit in their Junior Sea Cadet Race. He did very well indeed - especially for his very first competition as a Sea Cadet - WELL DONE!!

Well done to Leading Junior Nadarajah, who recently won Cadet of The Week when she went to the Junior summer camp at SCTC Inskip.
Her prize was a fantastic Tigger teddy bear - which was almost as big as her!!

Well done to AC Jessica Gregson (top right) on recieving her Jack Petchey award. She was presented her award at Goldsmiths Hall in London by Captain J Fry RN, the Captain of the Sea Cadet Corps (pictured).
Congratulations also to the North East District junior piping team, who took first place in the recent drill and piping competition. West Ham Juniors Howell (left) and Weston (center) teamed up with a junior from Clapton and Hackney Unit to secure their triumphant success.

West ham sea cadets recently took part in the Folkestone March, they walked 12 kilometers across the folketone countryside alot of it uphill, Well done too all the cadets and staff who took part!!
