CADET PAGE
The Senior Sectiion of the Sea Cadet Corps is for children aged 12-18, and is great for people who want to learn new skills and have fun whilst doing so.
The Cadets have many great opportunities to do things that many innercity children don't get to do such as Sailing around Europe on our Training Ship TS Royalist, visit Royal Naval establishments and Ships, Foreign Exchange trips and earn qualifications on a vast range of subjects, including BTEC qualification in Public Services, Engineering or Music which can be worth up to 4 A-C GCSEs.
TS ROYALIST
Cadets at West Ham get to do a great deal of things.... Below is a selection of what they get to do....
A ship visit at the Excel Centre.....
The cadets enjoyed a tour around the Ship and learnt alot about life on a Royal Navy Ship.
AC Weston even got to practice with the fire fighting equipment!
During a recent first aid lesson AC Frankie Norfolk decided that he was cold, so we demonstrated the use of a foil blanket. He soon warmed up!
Fun at the docks... we spent the day building rafts....
PO Weston's team did so well, they had to be rescued by the power boat! Unfortuantly PO Laming's teams raft, although looked amazing, fell apart upon entering the water!
